Havlin's Firearms Finishing is owned and operated by Brett Havlin. Brett does all the gunsmithing, billing, advertising, emails, phone calls, ordering, etc. Most days are spent working on firearms. It's often difficult to answer the phone and work on someone's firearm. Please understand if it was your firearm, you'd want the same attention.

With the market flooded with new firearms, being a new shooter can be intimidating. The first thing a new shooter should look for is a good personal defense firearms instructor. From there, decide on a caliber that is the most accurate in your hands. The next step would be deciding on frame size, capacity, and features. Be sure to ask about warranties on your new purchase!!!

Unfortunately, I hear this more often than not. The internet has a lot of great information, some of it not so great. As a do-it-yourself-er, I understand the ideal of trying to save money. However, if you are not 100% sure of what you are doing, it's a good idea to take it to someone who does. Yes it may be more than if you did it yourself, but at least you will know it will function when you need it!
